Meeting with DRAKE UNIVERSITY- USA

Under the framework of cooperation between the Hanoi University of Pharmacy and U.S. universities, the delegate of Drake University, including Dr. John Rovers and Kjos visited HUP from 22-23 May 2014 with the aim of discussing the BPharm curriculum at Hanoi University of Pharmacy and clinical/ community pharmacy practice in Vietnam.​

Following the working schedule, the delegates had an official meeting with the leaders of Science Technology and Training Administration in the afternoon of 22 May, and Medical Service Administration in the morning of 23 May to study the real situation of managing pharm. training, policies, regulations and development strategies of Ministry of Health of Vietnam.

Also in the morning of 23 May, the delegates worked with the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam in order to introduce and seek funding for the cooperation project between Hanoi University of Pharmacy and Drake University. 

In the afternoon of 23 May, Dr. John Rovers and Kjos had a conclusion meeting with Hanoi University of Pharmacy to study the current status of HUP’s training activities, especially in clinical pharmacy and community pharmacy. The meeting was held with the attendance of the representatives from Department of International Relations (IRD), Clinical Pharmacy Department, Pharmacoeconomics Administrative Department, Under graduate Department and Vietnamese Pharmacists Association.
