The Faculty of Pharmacognosy and Traditional Medicine is an academic unit of Hanoi University of Pharmacy. It was officially established on June 23, 2022 (Decision No. 485/DHN-QĐ) by reorganizing the Departments of Pharmacognosy, Traditional Medicine, and Botany. Although newly founded, the Faculty inherits a long-standing tradition and achievements in education, scientific research, and community service, recognized by many national awards.

Currently, the Faculty has 27 staff members, including 21 lecturers and 6 technicians, with highly qualified personnel (7 Associate Professors, 8 PhDs, and 6 MScs). The Faculty aims to develop a stable organizational structure, strengthen academic integrity, and optimize resources to fulfill its missions in education, research, technology transfer, and community engagement — contributing to the university’s strategic development towards autonomy and innovation.
