Activities on celebrating International Women's Day

On 7th March, on behalf of the University Management Board, Vice-Rector Ass. Doctor Thai Nguyen Hung Thu and Trade Union Committee representatives offered flowers to congratulate female staff and trade union members on the occasion of the International Women's Day 8/3.

Earlier,within the framework of celebration of Vietnamese Physician’s Day and International Women’s Day, under the support of administration, on 4th  March, Trade Union of Hanoi University of Pharmacy held a visit to some scenic spots of the country. This is an opportunity for the staff and trade union members to exchange, learn, and have mutual understanding. The tour had attracted numerous people to participate, especially young staff. This year the Executive Committee organized for the trade union members a visit to Truc Lam Tay Thien Pagoda in Tam Dao - Vinh Phuc.  The members attended a ceremony to pray for peace and were given a lecture about Buddhism and meditation by the monks of the pagoda, then enjoyed a vegetarian meal at the pagoda.Compared to the previous year's tour, there was something different. People learned how to apply meditation in daily life to help improve their health and had more knowledge of Buddhism. The visit has left a good impression on each staff and trade union members. Early spring tour was successful and absolutely safe.
