II. Formation and Development Process:
The Department of Supply and Facility Managementwas formed from two units: the facility management section belonging to the Facility Management Office and the Department of Supply and Equipment. This was established according to Resolution No. 29/NQ-HĐTDHN dated June 23, 2022, and established by Decision No. 478/QĐ-DHN dated June 23, 2022.
The Department of Supply and Equipment was renamed from the Education Materials Office according to Decision No. 176/QĐ-DHN dated May 18, 2011, of the Rector of Hanoi University of Pharmacy.
The Education Materials Office was one of the four departments in the organizational structure of the University of Pharmacy right from its separation from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy according to Decision No. 828/QĐ –BYT dated September 29, 1961, by the Minister of Health.
Since then, the department has always accompanied and developed with the development of Hanoi University of Pharmacy through the periods of resistance against the US, the period of national unification, and the transition to socialism from 1975 until now. The department has always assumed the functions and tasks of a Logistics department, successfully completing assigned tasks, and has contributed significantly to the success of training pharmacists for the country during these periods.

IV. Functions and Duties of the Unit:
- Functions
- To advise the School's Leaders on establishing construction investment projects, and organizing the management of assets including: land, construction works, buildings, architectural structures, water and electrical systems, environmental landscapes, fire prevention and fighting equipment, etc. ; to monitor and manage office equipment serving all activities within the School.
- To organize the management of records related to the renovation and repair process.
- To advise the School's Leaders on the management, procurement, and supply of materials, chemicals, medicinal materials, biological products, animals, raw materials, various types of tools, low-value and fast-wearing items, and office supplies ; to manage, procure, repair, and replace equipment, tools, and spare parts serving training and scientific research ; to purchase books, reference materials, and databases ; to manage and liquidate assets.
- To purchase, repair, and manage IT infrastructure , management software, waste treatment, pressure equipment inspection, printing, and operating water distillation machines for training and scientific research (NCKH).
- Duties
- To carry out tasks related to construction projects or major repairs ; procurement of materials, chemicals, medicinal materials, biological products, animals, raw materials, and various types of tools ; asset liquidation, printing ; tables, chairs, cabinets, tools, and office supplies ; and equipment for the entire school.
- To repair and maintain equipment serving training and scientific research (NCKH).
- To develop Facility Strategy.
- To develop plans and norms.
- To organize procurement.
- To manage facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- To develop and implement regulations, processes, and rules.
- To perform other tasks:
- To coordinate with units to organize the implementation of flood and storm prevention ; and fire prevention and fighting.
- To implement action plans, improvements after external evaluation, and deploy necessary tasks to meet educational quality accreditation standards.
- To organize and ensure environmental sanitation for restrooms, public corridors in the school, and ensure a green, clean, and beautiful environment.
- To deploy contracts with cleaning companies.
- To participate in monitoring labor safety and general fire and explosion prevention throughout the School.
- To organize the collection and contract for the treatment of hazardous waste within the school in accordance with current regulations.
- To coordinate with the Project Management Board to implement planning and participate in the construction management of the School's projects.
- To participate in mass organization activities and other tasks assigned by the School.
- To participate in community connection and service activities.
