Women Entrepreneurs in Asia (WEA 2022): Empowering vulnerable communities

"Entrepreneurship empowers women by redressing the inequality they face due to social and structural hurdles that limit their economic participation and deny communities the benefits of inclusive socioeconomic growth. 

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, this conference will bring together regional and global international experts, academics, policymakers, authorities and other stakeholders keen to empower women through entrepreneurship in vulnerable communities, to exchange ideas and promote effective collaboration in Asia.

This inaugural virtual conference will be co-hosted by Monash University Malaysia’s School of Business, the Centre for Global Business’ (CGB) South Asia Research Network (SARN), Monash Business School, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS, Indonesia) and the International University - Vietnam National University.

Submission guidelines:
Submission are invited from researchers interested in the following topics as they relate to women entrepreneurship:

Business training, coaching and strategy
Digital capabilities and adoption
Empowering and transforming communities
Financial and social inclusion
Microfinance
Social capital in entrepreneurship
Related and relevant causes, mechanisms, transitions and impacts of women entrepreneurship

Submission requirements:
Extended abstracts (no more than five pages including references) are accepted

Please format your submission according to the APA 7th edition, and use single-spaced text and Times New Roman font in size 12
Please include all authors’ names and affiliations.

All accepted submissions will be published on the WEA conference website, and selected papers may be invited to publish the full paper in the WEA 2022 Proceedings.
