Cooperation agreement Signing Ceremony with China Medical University, Taiwan (China)
On the afternoon of August 21st, 2025, a delegation from China Medical University (CMU), Taiwan (China), led by Academician Dr. Mien-Chie Hung, Chairman of the University Council, visited and signed a renewal of the Cooperation Agreement with Hanoi University of Pharmacy (HUP).
Welcoming the delegation on behalf of HUP, there were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hai Nam – Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Manh Tuyen – Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Quyen – Head of the Department of Science Technology and Development Cooperation; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Thanh Huong – Dean of the Faculty of Biotechnology; MSc. Dinh Thi Hien Van – Deputy Head of the Department of Science Technology and Development Cooperation; Dr. Vu Xuan Giang – Head of the Department of Student Affairs - Clinics, along with staff members from related departments.
On behalf of HUP, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hai Nam warmly welcomed the CMU delegation and acknowledged the fruitful cooperation between the two institutions. Academician Dr. Mien-Chie Hung, Chairman of CMU, expressed his gratitude and honor in continuing the collaboration with HUP, emphasizing that this partnership will bring about many opportunities in research and education.
Both parties discussed and agreed on prioritizing the following areas: (i) Student exchange (with a focus on short-term research exchanges and professional internships); (ii) Faculty and staff exchange (short-term research and guest teaching at the partner institution); (iii) Scientific research collaboration (joint supervision, co-publication, and coordination of joint research projects); (iv) Joint organization of conferences and scientific seminars, and sharing of academic resources and databases. The signing ceremony was held in a formal and cordial atmosphere.
Following the ceremony was an academic seminar titled “Markers-Guided Targeted- and Immuno-therapy” delivered by Academician Dr. Mien-Chie Hung, offering students and researchers of HUP a valuable opportunity to engage in academic exchange, share ideas, and gain insights into cutting-edge research trends in the field of biomedical sciences.
