Reflective paper from Thai exchanged students
First of all, we would like to say thank you to Hanoi Universityof pharmacy (HUP) for hosting us. We really enjoy learning in HUP with many great students from this university. Before we came here, we thought that one month is too long to stay aboard. Actually, when we spent our moments here, we think one month is too short for having great moments like this. All of the classeswhichweattendedarereally good. HUP arranged the class for us appropriately. So, when we werehere, great friends and great moments never make us got homesick or felt bored.
Aboutlessonsthatyou provided for us, wethink you arranged the schedule very well. Starting from Pharmacoeconomics is a good idea. In this class, we got many friends includingVietnamese
friends and Malaysian friends. We learnt many things from this class that we never learnt in Thailand before. We appreciate the way that you let us present our information from our own country. We think this is the best way toexchange knowledge and culture between eachother.
In our opinion, we do like topics which you prepared for us because we think that all topics are related to pharmacist roles and we can apply this knowledge to our pharmacist’s life.
The class about the critical thinking is very beneficial for us. We like the way that you taught us think critically by using the real health issues.
About sightseeing at pharmaceutical market, we would like to suggest that you should have a certain plan for us before visiting there. So, we could get some points and prepared ourselvesbetter.
About the traditional medicine class, we feel really thankful that the teacher spent his summer break for teaching us. The class looks like a private
class which had only two teacher and six students. The teacher had prepared the good handouts which easy to understand and full of details about traditional medicine. And he had taught us everything we need to know about of Vietnamese traditional medicine including history, theories, herbs and so on. We really impressed in his enthusiasm in teaching. Overall about this class is great but we also have some suggestion as well. We suggest that you should change the classroom where we used for study because the sitting position was not so good for learning.
About visiting at Nam Dược factory, we do like so much because this visiting can illustrate us about the system in the traditional medicine factory well.
Studying in Botany class gave us a chance to experience new lessons. The contents which we had learnt are quite different from what we have learnt before. The teachers in this department are so nice, actuallyall teachers here are very nice.
We had a really good time in Sapa. This is our first time to do something like this including going into the forest, collecting the plants from their habitats and eating the traditional foods from Dao’s people. This class is the last class that we attended and it also gives us the last best memory before we go back to Thailand. We also have some suggestion for this class as well. We think that you should notify us about the plan and activity in Sapa before we go there at least one week. It could be more comfortable for us to prepare ourselves. Going into the forest in Sapa is quite adventurous for us as beginners. Although it was our bad luck that there was heavily rain in all three days we spent in Sapa, we still feel safe because of the help from teacher and friends.
Our daily lives here are wonderful. We spent most of time with friends who we got from the class. Both Vietnamese and Malaysian friends are very nice. We always feel happy to have them. Particular of Vietnamese friends often recommend us the foods, the tourist attractive places, and also help us to communicate with Vietnamese people. They always escort us when we want to go somewhere and help us about the transportation. We really feel appreciative that they become our friends. Eventhough our time to spend together is too short, our friendships continue and last.
Eventually, living as exchange student in Hanoi University of pharmacy in Vietnam is better to experience once than hear about it a thousand times. Three weeks in HUP are very meaningful for us. Every second here are priceless and fulfilled our purpose of being exchange student. We would like to say thanks to the destiny which brought us to HUP and let us had good times and great friends like this. We hope that we will soon have a chance to visit here again, and we will definitely recommend our juniors to become exchange studentshere.
