Training course on knowledge, basic practice in preventing epidemic of severe acute respiratory syndrome - COVID-19 for last-year students of Hanoi University of Pharmacy.

Implementing of Official Dispatch No. 230/K2ĐT-VP issued by Administration of Science Technology and Training – Ministry of Health, in the afternoon of 24th March, 2020, Hanoi University of Pharmacy held a training course on the necessary knowledge for HUP’s last-year students about the COVID-19 pandemic in order to be ready to participate in supporting the medical system and community in preventing this dangerous disease. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Thi Thanh Hai – Vice Party Committee Secretary, Vice Rector of HUP, attended and gave an orientation speech for students.

​Dr. Hoang Thi Hai Van and Dr. Tran Quynh Anh from Institute for Preventive Medicine and Public Health acted as lecturers of this training course. The main content of the training course aiming to provide for last-year students to clearly understand about epidemiology, biological and clinical characteristics of pathogen of SARS-CoV2 ; methods of preventing COVID-19 epidemic for individual and community; Participation in supporting medical facilities in implementing measures to prevent COVID-19 epidemic; Participation in patients’ receiving, classification and supportive care. Total of 584 HUP’s last-year students attended fully in that course. After training course, many students submitted volunteer application to participate in activities of epidemic prevention.
With the slogan “Youth will be wherever needed and even difficult”, HUP’s youth is always ready to complete the missions, to contribute their efforts together with officials in our medical branch to provide health care and protection to people to check COVID-19 epidemic.​
