Signing Ceremony of Loan Agreement (HUP 2020 Project, 9th July 2014)

​In the morning of 9th July 2014, at the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Truong Chi Trung- Vice Minister of Finance and Mr. Lee Duk-Hoon- Presisent of Korean Export and Import Bank signed the Loan Agreements from the source of EDCF, including the project of developing Hanoi University of Pharmacy to become a national specialized university meeting the regional standards by 2020 with the amount of 45 million USD. The Interest is at the rate of Zero Point One percent (0.1%) per annum and the Maturity(Grace Period) is Forty (40) Years including Ten (10) Years of Grace Period.

The project of developing Hanoi University of Pharmacy to become a national specialized university meeting the regional standards by 2020 includes 3 components: (1) build 9/20 blocks to meet the requirements of teaching and studying for 5000 students; (2) supply necessary modern equipment for lecture rooms, laboratories and research rooms; (3) improve educational qualifications, scale and quality and develop a learning and researching environment that meets the standards of advanced universities.

This project is not only the first one under EDCF supporting Vietnam in the education field, but also a symbol of bilateral friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Korea.
