Opening Ceremony of the academic year 2015-2016
In the morning of 5th September 2015, the opening ceremony of new academic year 2015-2016, the year to celebrate 70th anniversary of Vietnamese August Revolution and Independence Day on Sep 2nd was solemnly held at school ground of Hanoi University of Pharmacy.
Attending the opening ceremony were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Cong Khan-Director and Assoc. Prof., Dr. Tran Thi Oanh-Deputy Director of Administration of Science Technology and Training, Ministry of Health. On the school side, there were Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Dang Hoa, Secretary of Party Committee-Rector and other representatives from Party Committee, Trade Union Committee, Youth Union, Student Association and students who received "Certificate of Appreciation" in the academic year 2014-2015 as well as 639 new students of 70th regular course, 50th inter-college course and 10th second certificate course.
On the speech, the Rector reminded the traditional history during 100 years of construction and development of Hanoi University of Pharmacy; made glorification on the achievements that teachers and students have gained during the academic year 2014-2015, encouraged all staff, teachers and students to continue promoting the achievements made by the previous generations, cooperate and overcome the difficulties, make efforts to teach-study and do research to complete the tasks of the academic year 2015-2016; make continuous efforts to improve the training quality to meet the requirements of the highly qualified pharmaceutical human resources and to contribute effectively to the stable development of the university in particular and the development of Vietnam pharmaceutical sector in general on the way for the international and regional integration.
To congratulate the new students, the Rector also reminded them to promote their studying abilities to adapt with the training environment and new methods at university to meet the strict requirement during the training process in order to accumulate knowledge, experience, skills and professional ethics to become talented pharmacists to serve themselves, their family and society.
On behalf of all staff and lecturers, Dr. Nguyen Duc Thien - Deputy Head in charge of Department of Physics - Physical Chemistry shared learning experience and researches with new students and promised with school's leaders to always hold the spirit of responsibility, exemplary, overcome all difficulties to complete the assigned tasks of the academic year 2015 - 2016.
On behalf of the freshmen attending this opening ceremony, Nguyen Phuong Anh, a new student expressed her pride to become a student of Hanoi University of Pharmacy and promised with school's leaders to make efforts to study and complete the tasks of the training course contributing to the rich tradition of Hanoi University of Pharmacy.
At the ceremony, the representative of the Ministry of Health and school's leaders awarded the Certificates of Appreciation to employees and students with outstanding achievements in work, learning and training in the academic year of 2014 - 2015,and a gift to student who had highest points in the entrance exam of this year. Also in this opening ceremony, some donors granted scholarships to representatives of HUP students.
