Delegation from China Medical University (CMU), Taiwan visited HUP
On March 14th, 2017, Prof. Liang -Yo Yang, Dean of Office of Global Affairs, China Medical University visited HUP to discuss on the collaborative research programs.
Prof. Liang paid a working visit and introduced about CMU’ potential and had a short discussion to find some common points in developing the research proposals at some departments of HUP such as: Department of Clinical Pharmacy, Department of Botany, Department of Pharmacognosy, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology and Department of Biochemistry. CMU is in the top 200 academic ranking of world universities with 4 hospitals belonging to CMU.CMU is strong in cancer research, stem cell research, pharmacy, traditional chinese medicine, and chinese herbal medicine.
At the official meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dang Hoa-Rector presided at the meeting with the attedance of Head/Vice Head/ Representative of Departments that the delegation just visited. After listening to Prof. Liang’s presentation on CMU training and research activities, both sides continued disscussing on the tentative colaborative research contents and how to implement these bilateral collaboration.
As conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to have collaborative researches on drug-herb interaction, research on natural product and bioactivity and genetic epidemiology.
